One of the world's most active volcanoes in Hawaii, the Kilauea Volcano, sent plumes of smoke and and shot lava up to 65 feet (19 metres) high into the air on Sunday. Scientists said a new vent had opened at the Pu'u O'o crater which caused lava to spray into the air.  It occurred along the middle of Kilauea Volcano's east rift zone. Kilauea has been in constant eruption since January 3, 1983. No homes are under threat.
